Modern boxer briefs were invented in 1925 when Jacob Golomb, the founder of Everlast, designed masculine underwear with an elastic waistband.
Overshadowed by boxers and men’s underwear, boxer briefs only became popular around 1985. Briefs fashion was launched primarily by Western and US models who wore the underwear in worldwide adverts. Dim, Athena and Calvin Klein are among the most popular male underwear brands selling boxer briefs.
