In 2001, after finishing her studies, the Canadian-Ukranian decides to conquer the modelling world. After a few frustrating months on small bookings in Canada, the 5’11’’ gets her big international break. Steven Meisel takes her under his wing, and she soon gets booked by Prada, Gucci, Zara, Chanel and YSL.
In 2005, Werbowy’s unique femininity is displayed in an ad campaign for Lancôme. Fresh-faced, yet equally mysterious, Werbowy perfectly represents the beauty house’s mission statement. The same year, Karl Lagerfeld declares her “divine, real, delightful, ironic and adorable.”
Recently the face of Roberto Cavalli, Pepe Jeans and H&M, this model is at the top of her game, and continues to captivate at Ready-to-Wear and Couture shows.
